We always like to support the local community where we can, so when we were approached for a donation to a new Burnley charity, the answer was, of course, yes.
Church on the Street Ministries primarily works with rough sleepers, those with addictions and the many who suffering from poverty in all its forms.
Predominantly, the church has been working on the streets of Burnley town centre for the last 12 months.
Led by Pastor Mick Fleming, the charity provides food parcels, clothing, baby items and anything else when and where its required within our community.
Rapid IT was approached to offer support to the Cow Lane charity, initially with the donation of a PC which would help manage their services.
Jack Bannister, managing director of Rapid IT, Padiham, said: “Church on the Street Ministries are doing a fantastic job in the community to help those most in need.
“We have a stock of recycled PCs ready for sale and we were more than happy to donate one to this local cause and set it up for them.”
Pastor Fleming said: “We really do rely on the generosity of local people to help us deliver the services we do, and this kind donation from Rapid IT makes a huge difference.
“We cannot thank them enough.”
